We currently employ 20 staff, of whom the majority are Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot plus other staff from other ethnic backgrounds who undertake their various care/support duties required to meet our diverse ethnic users’ needs. Our staff also have many years of caring experience with relevant required care qualifications.
Staff undergo continuous training (refresher) throughout the year and are First Aid qualified. Also, everyone has up to date Disclosure Barring Service (ex CRB) checks. Service users attending have a Care/Support plan with a comprehensive Health and Safety and Risk Assessment undertaken around their required needs which are regularly reviewed and evaluated in conjunction with their changing needs and choices.
The CEDG operate a key worker system as this provides service users continuity and familiarity whilst attending the centre especially as many of them suffer from dementia. This process ensures good working practices and helps to maintain and meet the required high standard levels necessary to deliver our services.
